A Message from Dean Lisa Tedesco
November 13, 2020 | 10:35 AM
Greetings, LGS Community.
Over the last 15 years, we have built an amazing graduate school, one that I am immensely proud of. Your contributions and partnership made it all possible, and I am ever grateful for all you have done and all you continue to do.
It is now time for me to let someone else take the lead. Later this morning, Interim Provost Love will announce that at the end of summer 2021, I will step aside as Dean. She is launching a search and will coordinate with the next provost as that search process moves forward, too. Her message to the Emory community is included below.
At the end of my term, I know that I am leaving Laney Graduate School in the extraordinarily capable hands of our graduate school leadership team –– and with you our remarkable students, exceptional faculty, and dedicated staff.
This past year, we reached our centennial milestone as a graduate school. In that time, we have become recognized as a place that pairs rigorous thinking with creative problem-solving and one that celebrates innovative approaches to doctoral and masters education. LGS accomplishments were made in collaboration with the entire LGS community.
I look forward to the days ahead and send you my full assurances that program continuity and positive momentum will be sustained and drive our strategic objectives.
Thank you in advance for your support of our leadership team going forward during this time of transition, just as you have supported us throughout my years as Dean and Vice Provost.
With gratitude,
-Lisa
