LGS Skills Training: Lunch & Learn – AI Tools and Applications

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we approach academic work, and graduate students at Laney are at the forefront of this shift.

Join us for our next LGS Skills Training session on the practical use of AI tools and applications with Joe Sutherland, PhD, director of the Emory Center for AI Learning.

This session will dive into strategies for using tools like ChatGPT to streamline the research process. From refining literature searches and generating outlines to organizing data and improving writing clarity, AI can provide graduate students with powerful support at every stage of their academic work. Sutherland will also focus on the art of “prompting;” the key to getting the most useful responses from AI.

Whether you’re curious about how AI can save you time, help you spark new ideas, or enhance the quality of your research output, this session is designed to provide actionable insights you can put into practice right away.

Lunch will be provided. Register by Oct. 24 to secure your spot.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how AI can enhance your productivity and creativity as a researcher.

Time: 12-1:30 p.m.
