High Museum Partnership gives Laney Community Unique Access to Art Resources
Laney graduate students, faculty, and staff have an incredible new opportunity to engage with the High Museum of Art. Through a partnership with the Academic Affiliates program, the campus community now has unprecedented access to the museum’s world-class collections, exhibitions, and educational resources.
As part of this collaboration, students and their supporting faculty and staff will have free access to the museum during university-sponsored field trips, discounted membership rates and the chance to participate in student art exhibitions at the museum.
Valeda Dent, vice provost of Emory Libraries and the Michael C. Carlos Museum, played a key role in establishing this collaboration, which she describes as an exciting way for the Emory community to connect with art in new and meaningful ways.
“Emory has long collaborated with the High for educational purposes,” said Dent. “But now, our students, faculty, and staff can truly immerse themselves in the museum’s collections, learn from world-renowned artists and educators, and experience the power of art up close. This partnership aligns with Emory’s mission to strengthen community connections, and we can’t wait to see where this exciting journey takes us.”
