Eagle Food Pantry Restock: Supporting Students Through Community Care

As the semester moves into its final stretch, Emory students are juggling exams, projects, and the pressures of daily life. For some, food insecurity adds an additional layer of stress that can make academic success even more challenging. To ensure that every student has access to essential resources this season, Student Case Management and Intervention Services (SCMIS) is leading a campus-wide effort to restock the Eagle Food Pantry.

The Eagle Food Pantry provides confidential, direct support to Emory students experiencing food insecurity or short-term financial strain. Open throughout the year, the pantry offers shelf-stable food items, snacks, and necessities that help students stay focused, healthy, and secure.

From November 17 through November 24, SCMIS invites students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to participate in a community-driven collection effort. This initiative is an opportunity for the Emory community to come together in support of students who may need extra help during a crucial time in the academic calendar.

Donation Drop-Off Locations

To make contributing easy and accessible, donation bins will be available at several high-traffic locations across campus:

  • Emory Student Center, by the Information Desk
  • Belonging, Community, and Justice (3rd floor, Cox Hall)
  • Rollins School of Public Health, R. Randal Rollins Building (1st floor near Dancing Goats)

All contributions, small or large, directly support students in need. Items commonly requested include canned goods, pasta, rice, granola bars, nut butters, snacks, and other non-perishable foods. Students also benefit from hygiene products and household essentials.

For those who cannot drop off items in person, SCMIS offers additional ways to support the pantry year-round. The team encourages faculty and student organizations to spread the word, organize group donations, or partner in future initiatives.
