Dual and Joint Degrees

The Laney Graduate School offers several dual and joint degree programs. 

  • Dual degrees are typically pursued completed in stages and awarded sequentially
  • Joint degrees are typically pursued in a mixed curriculum and awarded together

Dual Degrees


The Master's program in Bioethics can be combined with degrees from schools across Emory — Medicine, Law, Nursing, Public Health and Theology.

Development Practice

The Masters of Development Practice program offers a dual degree program with the Candler School of Theology.

MDP/MDiv Dual Degree


Doctoral students in the LGS can combine their degree with an MPH degree from one of four departments in the Rollins School of Public Health.

Joint Degrees


Emory's MD/PhD program is open to doctoral students in all disciplines. Prospective applicants should visit the MD/PhD website as early as possible.
