Nikki Boon, an Emory neuroscience PhD student, won gold at the Women’s Decathlon World Championships. With it, she earned the official designation of “World’s Greatest Athlete,” complementing her selection as a 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year Top 30 honoree.

In early 2026, the GUSI network will launch a five session online intercultural training program that helps doctoral students strengthen global communication skills and build international research connections.

Emory’s International Student and Scholar Services program led a group trip to the King Center and National Center for Civil and Human Rights for Black History Month, providing an opportunity to learn about America’s civil rights history.
The U.S. State Department has selected 17 recent Emory graduates and students as Fulbright finalists to teach English, pursue graduate study and conduct research abroad during the 2023-24 academic year.
