To Apply, You Need

  • Files ready to be uploaded: a resume/cv, a statement of purpose, one or more scanned transcript(s), and a writing sample (if applicable).  You can upload .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .jpg and .tif files. 
  • If test scores are required by the program you are applying to, then it helps if you provide registration numbers for standardized tests (GRE and, if applicable, GMAT and TOEFL) — if you have registered for them. 
  • Contact information for your recommenders: emails and institutional affiliation.

As You Complete Your Application

  • You will be able to save a partially completed application and return to it later.

  • Program specific requirements and deadlines are on each program's website.  Brief information and links to program sites are on our Program Admissions Requirements page. Application deadlines fall at midnight U.S. Pacific time on the date of each program's deadline.

Application Fee

Our application fee is $75.  The fee is non-refundable, and can be paid by credit card as part of the online application.  We offer limited fee waivers for applicants who have participated in certain programs designed to prepare students for graduate study, and for applicants who can show financial hardship.  See our Application Fee Waivers page.

Application Honor Code

Emory University expects all admitted students to uphold the intellectual, ethical, and professional standards of the University and considers applications for admission and the materials attached to them subject to standards of academic honesty and integrity.  The Laney Graduate School reserves the right to rescind an offer of admission when an admitted student is found to have presented misleading or fraudulent information during the application process, and for other reasons.
