Coursework

Emory MDP curriculum allows students the flexibility to pursue their own interests and career objectives while also acquiring broad academic knowledge relevant to development practice through core courses.

Students must complete 50 credit hours and fulfill 6 required competency areas, some requiring specific courses and others being fulfilled by courses on relevant topics that are selected by students and approved by the program.

Students can use the Course Atlas to explore courses taught during a semester actual course sequence and availability may vary year to year and access to certain courses may depend on pre-requisites, enrollment limitations, and agreements across Emory units.

Please refer to the MDP Student Handbook for further information.
